The PHWTA is a group of women who support Philcrest Hills Tennis Club by promoting friendly competition and good sportsmanship through tennis activities. The following information may help you become familiar with our organization.
A. The PHWTA has a system of daytime leagues where original placement is based on ability. Subsequent movement is based on scores. These leagues are indoor doubles play and are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a warm up drill starting at 9:00 a.m.
B. In order to play PHWTA Leagues you need to:
1. Become a member of the PHWTA by paying yearly dues of $30.00. This may be
billed to your account.
2. Schedule a time to hit with the Head Pro. The Head Pro will assign you to the proper
C. You will receive a PHWTA Directory which lists the members, phone numbers, a calendar for the year, the Association's By-Laws and the League Rules. This Directory is available at the front desk.
D. The cost of league play is billed to the player per session played. At present, there are 4 seven-week sessions and the cost is approximately $60.00 per session based on number of players
The PHWTA holds two membership meetings with a luncheon per year. At these events, time is set aside for social tennis: meeting and playing with other members of varying abilities. Additional activities may be planned for the luncheon such as fashion shows, raffles, door prizes, etc. League awards are also given at this time.
